You can prepare a tasty, fresh and healthy homemade dog food at your kitchen and the best part is that you don't need to buy any extra stuffs and ingredients for this. All you need is some chicken, lamb, beef or pork meat with bones if possible, fresh vegetables like pumpkin, potatoes and rice.
So, here's a simple recipe for homemade dog food.

Things required

1. 1 kg of chopped meat preferably with bones(chicken, lamb, pork or any)
2. 1/2 kg of diced pumpkins, potatoes or carrots(any or all of them)
3. 2 kg of rice
3. few pinches of Salt
4. 2 tablespoons of oil

Procedure

First heat a big pot and put 2 tablespoons of oils into it. When the oil is hot add the meat and fry it for a couple of minutes. Then add 1/2 kg of previously diced vegetables and mix it well with the meat and cook it for 5-6 minutes in medium heat. Add few pinches of salt, less than that you consume. Then add two liters of water into the pot and add 2 kg of rice. Let the mixture cook for 30-35 minutes until it turns to a gravy mixture.

Let the mixture cool down and then feed you dog. Your freshly prepared homemade food can last up to one week depending upon number and size of your dogs. Feed your dog twice a day and keep it refrigerated. With your homemade food, your dog will empty his bowl every time and look for more.

REMEMBER not to add any foods like garlic, onions, chocolates, grapes, raisins or avocados in your dog's food. These foods are not digested by dogs and are very highly toxic and can leave your dog sick or dead.
Do a quick search on the internet or ask your veterinarian before deciding to add anything to your dog's food.

P.S : Don't over feed your dog if he looks for more ;)
